AIMS India Foundation prides itself in integrating the community in all its activities and campaigns. The AIMS Marathon initiative, called Run To Serve a Graam, is one such effort to raise awareness and funds and it continues to be our largest annual fund-raising campaign, run entirely by our volunteers. Almost 100% of these funds (barring program expenses) have been or will be allocated to funding various AIMS projects and have been committed to making real differences in the lives of thousands of underprivileged people of India. Please visit our projects page on our website to see how we've continued to make a difference, one step at a time. Our marathon training program is conducted in partnership with several other charities that have all come together under the umbrella of Marathon Charity Partners. Though the charities have different missions, they all share a common goal. They all strive to make a difference through running!

In the past two years, Team AIMS has raised well over $40,000 and is expanding rapidly. The first Team AIMS consisted of 13 runners who trained with us in 2005 and everyone successfully completed the Marine Corps Marathon and collectively raised approx $13000 for AIMS' rural developmental projects in India. In 2006, the strength of the runners grew to 25 with a majority of whom participated in the Marine Corps Marathon with a handful participating in the Under Armor Baltimore Half Marathon. The total funds raised during the 2006 Marathon Campaign exceeded $30,000, more than double the amount from the previous campaign. In 2007, our team had a total of 30 runners, who jointly raised over $30,000 smashing the previous records. Now we are currently preparing to kick start our 2008 training season and we would love to have you on our team. We are inviting runners, both new and old, to join hands with us in making it a successful year.
